My Educational Philosophy:

Students will learn math, reading, spelling, writing, grammar, science, social studies and technology skills in my class. With dedication, perseverance, and hard work; students will learn how to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills. Each student in the classroom will be challenged on an individual level. Students will learn how to use their creativity and imagination to complete class assignments and projects. They will learn how to communicate with each other in a positive and supportive way. Students will learn how to work together to understand how to collaborate their ideas. 

Classroom Rules:
  1. Respect and care for yourself and others.
  2. Listen and Follow directions.
  3. Be kind to others.
  4. Use positive words.

  1. Read for 20 minutes everyday at home
  2. Bring the signed reading log to school everyday
  3. Bring your binder and backpack 
  4. Sumdog- math, reading, and writing practice on the computer

  • BA in childhood studies from Bennington College, in Vermont. 
  • Masters of Arts in Teaching with Specialization in Educational Technology from National University 
Years in Teaching:
  • Over 14 years teaching experience 
  • Ameri Schools Academy- 2nd year 
Family:
  • Mom is from New York 
  • Dad is from Australia
  • 4 Brothers; 2 live in Los Angeles and 2 live in Australia
  • Several Cousins; Los Angeles, New York, and Australia
Interests and Hobbies:
  • Tap Dancing- studied for 33 years, and still practicing 
    • Performed a tap solo on Broadway in New York
  • Reading and Writing- 
    • I love to sit down and pick up a great book to read. 
    • Writing in a journal is a great way to think of story ideas.
